Sydney FC have finally landed their marquee man, after signing Brazilian forward Bobo.

The 31-year-old arrived in Sydney this week and completed his medical on Tuesday, with the club set to officially announce the deal in the coming days.

It will likely be a one-year contract for Bobo, with the fee reported reaching $1 million.

Bobo joins Sydney after a season at Brazilian club Gremio, and has played in the Champions League for Besiktas.

The Brazilian will replace Alex Brosque as the club's second marquee alongside Slovakian Filip Holosko, as Holosko was reported to have a big part in the Bobo signing.

While Brosque is now longer the marquee, the Sky Blues are confident of retaining his services over the next few weeks.
