Sydney FC will confirm the signing of another foreign star this week as they build their squad for their A-League title defence.

Polish winger Adrian Mierzejewski will arrive in Australia later this week, where he is expected to completed a three-year deal with the harbour city club.

The 30-year-old will come to the A-League following stints in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Mierzejewski has also previously played in Poland and Turkey while representing Poland on 41 occasions since 2010.

Mierzejewski – believed to be earning close to $600,000 – will¬†replace former midfielder Filip Holosko in Graham Arnold’s side.

Mierzejewski will join Luke Wilkshire and Alex Cisak as one of the final pieces in Arnold’s squad as pre-season preparations ramp up for the Sky Blues, who are looking to complete the double for a second successive season.
