Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will be out for several weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury during the Reds' loss to Newcastle on the weekend.

The 26-year-old has managed only six out of a possible 23 matches this season, as he has been sidelined with knee, foot and now hamstring injuries.

The luckless striker was also restricted to just 18 of a possible 58 games last season, due to calf, thigh and hip injuries.

He has scored four goals in his six matches this season.
