BEN Simmons has been praised after his stellar start to the college basketball season, with the Aussie being compared to NBA superstar LeBron James.

Appearing on ESPN Radio, college basketball analyst Jay Bilas heaped praise on the LSU freshman after his impressive performance against Kennesaw State on Tuesday.

Bilas later appeared on ESPN's Pardon The Interruption, and continued his stellar review of Simmons.
