Brisbane Roar goalkeeper Jamie Young has put aside the disappointment of losing his first-team spot to sign a contract extension with the three-time A-League champions.

The Brisbane-born former England youth international will remain with Roar until at least 2018 after putting pen to paper on a new two-year deal.

“Brisbane is where I'm from and I've loved the chance to be able to play for the Roar,” said Young, who has made 37 A-League appearances since joining the club in 2014 after spending more than 10 years in England.
