Brisbane Roar defender Daniel Bowles has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2018 season.

Bowles, who has started in 18 off 22 games this season, has worked hard this season to cement himself in the Roar's back four, with the likes of Jade North, Luke DeVere and James Donachie all considered ahead of the 24-year-old in the pecking order at the beginning of the season.

He is the fourth player in five weeks to re-sign with Brisbane, joining Jamie Young, Jack Hingert and Brandon Borrello.

Bowles has made 25 appearances for the Roar since making his senior debut in 2014.
