Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain wants to play at Liverpool next season, according to The Mirror.

The UK publication has claimed the the Argentine forward is keen to play in the English Premier league and wants to play his football under new Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.

The 28-year-old is hot property in world football, after scoring a record 36 goals in 35 league appearances in Serie A this season.

He has scored a total of 71 goals in 104 Serie A matches for Napoli since joining the club in 2013 and previously netted 107 goals in 190 appearances for Spanish giant Real Madrid.

Klopp is looking to completely overhaul his front third, with Christian Benteke the first player likely to be pushed out the door after failing to impress after his £32.5 million move last summer.
