Liverpool has reportedly made a shock move for Real Madrid star, James Rodriguez.

Rodriguez still has three years remaining on his contract, however, has struggled to get regular game time at Madrid under Zinedine Zidane and he was left out of the side’s Champions League squad that beat Juventus 4-1 last week.

Spanish publication, Don Balon, has reported that Liverpool has entered the race to sign the Colombian star.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are also in the mix, but the Reds are reportedly the only club thus far willing to meet Madrid’s  £52m ($89m) valuation for Rodriguez.

The 25-year-old, who started just 13 La Liga games this season is set to be one of several players likely to depart the Bernabeu this transfer period.
