Melbourne Victory's Gui Finkler has reportedly signed a deal to join Wellington Phoenix next season.

Chief football writer for The Australian, Ray Gatt, reported the news on Wednesday morning. However, the length of the deal is yet to be confirmed.

If the rumblings are true, Wellington will have one of the most potent attacking formations in recent memory in the A-League, with Roy Krishna, Roly Bonevacia, Kosta Barbarouses, Gui Finkler and Michael McGlinchey linking up.

Finkler's departure from Melbourne would hardly be a suprise given rumours of his discontent at being left out of the Victory's Asian Champions League squad.

Finkler joined Melbourne Victory in 2012 and has scored 20 goals in 89 appearances.
