A massive, massive weekend of Premiership football saw upsets around England as the table begins to shake-up.

United losing at home to Villa with late penalty drama, the Bees holding Liverpool to a draw in a goal-fest and Manchester City getting over Chelsea all made for superb viewing.

Team of the Week is a brand new series from Striker where the top performers from each matchday being included in a rolling '4-3-3' team of the week squad that will chop and change regularly.

Let's see what effect this has on our rolling XI after another round of season 2021/22.

 

Goalkeeper

José Sá (Wolverhampton Wanderers) - in for Karl Darlow (Newcastle United)

Wolves stitched up their second victory of the season, this time at St. Mary's Stadium where keeper José Sá came up clutch to keep a clean sheet.

Sá made six saves and chalked up an assist with a long kick to Raul Jimenez to perhaps breathe some life back into Wolves' season.

 

Defenders

RB: Joël Veltman (Brighton & Hove Albion) - in for James Milner (Liverpool)

The Dutchman had a great game on the right for Graham Potter's side as they drew 1-1 with Palace at Selhurst Park.

Veltman assisted Neal Maupay for his 95th minute equaliser and made eight tackles as he put in an excellent shift to continue the Seagulls' storming start to the season.

RCB: Yerry Mina (Everton) - in for Thiago Silva (Chelsea)

Mina had a solid game down at centre-half with the Toffees running out 2-0 winners over Norwich at home.

The 27-year-old made six clearances, three interceptions and two tackles as Rafa Benitez's side continued their excellent first month and a half under their new manager.

LCB: Ethan Pinnock (Brentford) - in for Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool)

The Bees pulled off a huge draw against the Reds at home in a 3-3 draw on Saturday afternoon, with Ethan Pinnock being the star of the show before going off injured in the 43rd minute.

The Jamaican scored a close-range opener from an Ivan Toney assist as well as making five clearances and winning all four of his aerial duels.

LB: Danny Rose (Watford) - in for Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

The ex-Spurs man was the standout for Watford on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Newcastle at Vicarage Road.

The England international made three key passes, five successful dribbles and the same amount of accurate long balls in a solid outing for the Hornets.

Midfielders

RM: Youri Tielemans (Leicester City) - in for N'Golo Kante (Chelsea)

The Belgian was instrumental for Leicester as they clung on for a draw against Burnley at home.

Tielemans assisted Vardy's first goal and made five key passes, two successful dribbles and seven accurate long balls in a typically silky performance from the 24-year-old maestro.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) - in for Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa)

The world-class midfielder put in another superb display against former side Chelsea as the Sky Blues crept into second place with a win over Thomas Tuchel's men.

The 30-year-old made three key passes and won six ground duels as Pep's side moved closer towards the top of the table ahead of their huge clash against Liverpool next Sunday.

LM: Emile Smith-Rowe (Arsenal) - in for Matthias Normann (Norwich City)

Arsenal have finally come to life in season 2021/22, smashing Spurs in a North London derby with Emile Smith-Rowe running the show from left midfield.

The young gun chalked up a goal and an assist in a performance that is bound to give Tottenham's defenders nightmares for some time yet.

Forwards

RW: Raphinha (Leeds United) - in for Ismaïla Sarr (Watford) 

Leeds slumped to a 1-2 defeat to the Hammers at Elland Road however Brazilian winger Raphinha was dazzling for Marcelo Bielsa's side despite the result.

The 24-year-old scored his side's only goal as well as making three key passes before being subbed in the 69th minute.

ST: Michail Antonio (West Ham United) - in for Ivan Toney (Brentford)

Once again Michail Antonio shone for David Moyes' side, this time as his side got over Leeds away from home on Saturday.

The veteran scored a late goal and made four key passes, with his physical presence seeing him win eight of his ground duels on a superb day for the 31-year-old.

LW: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - in for Leandro Trossard (Brighton)

Despite playing off the right in this one, Saka manages to slot in on the left due to his extreme versatility he has shown time and time again.

The 20-year-old got a goal and assist as well as making three key passes as he dominated the right side of the pitch against Nuno Espirito Santo's Tottenham.
