Melbourne City has confirmed the signing of Adelaide United grand final hero, Bruce Kamau.

The 21-year-old, who emerged as a key player in United's championship side in the second half of the season, has signed a two-year deal with City.

Kamau scored the opening goal of Adelaide's 3-1 grand final win over Western Sydney on Sunday.

“We're very happy to welcome Bruce into our squad for next season,” City coach John van't Schip said.

“He is still young, has shown positive signs and he is a player we see as having great potential for further development with us.”

Kamau has made 29 appearances in two seasons with the Reds.
