It has been a massive weekend for the Matildas overseas.

Sam Kerr scored for Chelsea on the opening day of the Women’s Super League while a number of other stars made their debut.

Kerr scored for reigning champions Chelsea in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The Matildas captain scored in the 25th with a clinical finish from close range against United.

Meanwhile, Caitlin Foord played 20 minutes off the bench and bagged two assists for Arsenal in a 6-0 win over Reading.

Steph Catley started and lasted 70 minutes for the Gunners also.

Everton debutant, Hayley Raso was praised for her attacking efforts on the wing after 72 minutes in a 4-0 win at Bristol City.

 

Aussie coach Tanya Oxtoby’s Bristol side, featured Aussies Chloe Logarzo and Ella Mastrantonio.

Both ladies played the full 90 minutes in their loss to Everton.

A trio of Matildas starred in the 1-1 draw between Tottenham and West Ham.

Mackenzie Arnold made two fantastic saves in a 90-minute effort for the Hammers.

Alanna Kennedy played 22 minutes off the bench for Spurs.

Emily van Egmond played most of the second half for West Ham.
