Mario Balotelli's agent has launched a scathing attack on the Italian's former boss Jurgen Klopp for the treatment of the 26-year-old during his time at Anfield.

Balotelli signed for Ligue 1 side Nice after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer on deadline day, and the forward's agent, Mino Raiola, has condemned Klopp for his actions.

“For me, he didn't take into account that he was talking to a human being,” Raiola said to the Gazzetta dello Sport website.

“Mario has been exemplary, he never complained about training alone. To say that it was wrong of Klopp would be an understatement, he was a piece of shit about it.”

Former Liverpool player and club legend Jamie Carragher also had his say on the departure of Balotelli from the Reds, taking to Twitter to give his opinion.

Balotelli was quick to hit back at Carragher, as seen in the tweet below.

The 26-year-old's move to France is one that can hopefully get the talented forward's career back on track, although Balotelli himself doesn't believe he's been as poor as people think.

“I think that my career is different from what has been written,” Balotelli said.

“For me there is no risk, it's just that I have been hampered by physical problems over the past two years.”

“My priority is to play, that's why I chose the Nice project,” Balotelli said. “To be happy, I need to play.”
