Central Coast Mariners 1 - 2 Adelaide United

A late winner from Ryan Kitto has ended Adelaide's three-game losing streak and given the Reds a confidence boost ahead of their FFA cup final tomorrow night against Sydney FC. The Mariners however, were the ones who went into the break with a one goal lead thanks to Dutchman Wout Bruma converting a spot kick.

Daniel Adlung leveled the scores with a goal of the season contender, firing home a long range strike from 28 yards. Central Coast had the majority of possession, but they failed to create many chances whilst Ben Kennedy had a lot of work to do, constantly under fire from the Adelaide attack making three important saves before Kitto's winner.

Brisbane Roar 3 - 1 Melbourne City

Brisbane Roar gained their first three points of the season after upsetting Melbourne City 3-1 thanks to a Avraam Papadopoulos brace. The defender opened the scoring and closed the scoring in the fifth and 70th minutes making the most of Eugene Galekovic's handling mistakes.

Massimo Maccarone claimed the assist for Eric Bautheac's goal to make the score 2-0 after some impressive hold up play. City made it 2-1 in the 54th minute through Stefan Mauk following a Luke Brattan assist and the comeback looked on but Brisbane were too good on the day as they climb the table.

Sydney FC 2 -  1 Newcastle Jets

In a much anticapted clash, Sydney returned to winning ways after their nightmare clash with Central Coast last week, downing the Jets 2-1 to hand them their first loss of the season. Goals thanks to Milos Ninkovic and Bobo gave the reigning champions a healthy 2-0 lead in a game that wasn't too exciting as weather conditions were unkind at Allianz Stadium.

With leading goal scorer Roy O'Donovan out due to a minor groin complaint, the Jets only managed to convert one of their major chances. Dimi Petratos looked to give the Jets some hope after a 65th minute goal but to no avail as Sydney reclaimed top spot.

Perth Glory 0 - 2 Melbourne Victory

Melbourne Victory also claimed their much anticipated first win of the season following a 2-0 on the road win over Perth Glory. Entering the match last on the table following the Roar's victory on Friday, the Victory were hungry for the win but as the hour mark approached, it was looking like it was going to be another winless week for the Victory. But  none other than Besart Berisha fund the a trademark crucial goal, pouncing on a failed clearance to open the scoring.

Leroy George then scored his third goal of the season as he continued his impressive start to life in the A-League, quickly becoming a fan favourite. Victory still have to play two more away games in the fortnight with trips to Newcastle and Wellington, before returning home against Adelaide. However, this first win gives them some much needed momentum. Kevin Muscat will be hoping for more of the same if they want to be playing finals football.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Wellington Phoenix

The Round 7 clash between the Wanderers and the Phoenix was postponed after A-league head Greg O'Rourke inspected the Spotless Stadium pitch, deeming it unsafe for players. The details of when the game is to be played is yet to be decided.
