Young Alex Rullo who competed in the Dunlop series for the Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport Team in 2016, is looking forward to his return to the Townsville 400 this weekend, only this time he will be behind the wheel of the same VF Holden Commodore that Nick Percat drove last season.

Rullo is hoping to redeem his efforts from last season and after feeling self-assured due to a good performance in Darwin last time out, he is confident that he will be up to speed and is determined to continue his string of good luck.

“Last year was pretty rough for myself in DVS with a mechanical issue clouding most of the weekend,” said the 17 year old. “I did learn a lot about the track last year and it is pretty tricky to manage the tyres around there, so I definitely will take that into this round. I think after last year I should be pretty up to speed straight out the gate. I'm lucky to have raced here last year.”
