Supercheap Auto racer Chaz Mostert is looking to utilize strategy and one-lap speed at this weekend's Winton SuperSprint in order to combat the challenge of passing some of their rivals at the Prodrive Racing's test track.

Currently sitting equal third in the championship race, Mostert is confident that the team can continue to mix with the category's front runners at the upcoming event, boasting a strong history at the circuit.

He took pole here for race 11 in 2016, but unfortunately, after an incident with James Courtney at turn ten left him with a puncture, the young racer was unable to turn that pole into victory and finished down in P10.

This year he is hoping that things will go a lot differently…

"I'm really looking forward to going to Winton,” he said. “It's got a bit more grip than what we had at Perth and we've done plenty of laps around there so it should be good. The guys who we've been competing against so far this season are going to be very quick again so hopefully we'll be able to mix it in there again and give them a good run for their money."
