Youssouf Hersi looks set to sign with the Central Coast Mariners, with the former Western Sydney and Perth player set to undergo a medial in Gosford on Sunday.

Hersi will sign for the remainder of the season, with an option for longer, pending the outcome of his medical.

"We've got to go through the medical and get through that part, then we're currently working through until the back end of this season and potentially next season," Mariners' cheif executive Shaun Mielekamp told AAP.
Mielekamp said he expects Hersi to be available for the Mariners' clash with Wellington next Saturday.
After 47 appearances with Western Sydney in two season, he managed just eight appearances for Perth Glory, before being released by the club in May last year.
He has since been training with a club in Holland.
