Matchday 12 kicks off with the North London Derby, where bitter rivals Arsenal and Tottenham play out the weekend's marquee match-up.

The Spurs enter the contest in red-hot form having won five of their last six premier league fixtures, sitting four points above their rival Gunners.

Harry Kane's scintillating rise to glory has continued in recent times, and will be the focal points of Arsene Wenger's scouting in the build up to the blockbuster.

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield

A struggling Bournemouth side host Huddersfield in an important match for the home side's quest for Premier League survival.

Despite Huddersfield's superior start to the campaign, history is on Bournemouth's side, with Huddersfield winning only one of the pair's last 10 encounters.

Huddersfield could be without Socceroo Aaron Mooy after the gun midfielder helped secure Australia's place in the 2018 World Cup on Wednesday night.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-0

Burnley vs Swansea

Burnley have been one of the surprise-packets of 2017/18 and are hosting a Swansea side sitting comfortably in the relegation zone.

Swansea will have a hard time scoring in Burnley, who have only conceded two goals in home fixtures this season.

However, history suggests the away side is a fighting chance, as Swansea hold a 4-0 winning record over Burnley in their premier league history.

Crystal Palace vsĀ Everton

Bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace are set to welcome back striker Christian Benteke for their home fixture against Everton.

Benteke's return is much-needed for a Palace squad who has only found the back of the net four times this season, and who are trying to avoid the equal-worst ever start to a Premier League season after 12 matches.

Everton will hope to build further momentum from their 3-2 victory over Watford in Matchday 11 and have the perfect opportunity to do so against Palace.

Leicester vs Manchester City

Leicester faces the sternest task in premier league football with a match-up with the undefeated Manchester City juggernaut.

City's 31 points and epic goal difference of +31 in the opening 11 games of the season is the best start to a Premier League season by any club, largely thanks to star striker Sergio Aguero scoring in each of his last five league appearances.

The Argentinian jet has stated he's fit to play after fainting during an international friendly against Nigeria.

Recent history stacks up against City however, with Leicester winning two of their last three meetings in the Premier League against the ladder-leaders.

Prediction: Manchester City 4-0

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool are a chance to re-gain the services of star players Phillipe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana for their fixture against Southampton.

The fifth-placed Reds come up against a Southampton side with only one win from their previous six Premier League games, however a club with the wood over Liverpool in recent times, having won three and drawn two of their previous five meetings across all competitions.

Mohammed Salah will look to continue his superb form for his new club, after netting a brace in their last league fixture.

Prediction: Liverpool 2-0

West Bromwich Albion vs Chelsea

Chelsea make the trip to West Brom in a vital game for both clubs for vastly different reasons.

After winning their last three fixtures, Chelsea will look to continue their run of form and stay in touch with the top sides, whereas West Brom are trying to avoid the relegation zone after losing their last three contests.

Alvaro Morata has impressed in his first season at Stamford Bridge, netting seven goals in the Premier League, and will prove the main headache for West Brom in the lead-up to Matchday 12.

Prediction: Chelsea 3-1

Manchester United vs Newcastle

Newcastle are posed with a near-impossible task to upset United on the road, with the Manchester giant yet to concede a goal at home in the 2017/18 season.

The Tooners will take confidence from United's recent form however, who've lost two of their last three Premier League fixtures after starting undefeated, albeit both losses being away from Old Trafford.

The lethal combination of Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba have proved a nightmare for opposing clubs all season and one can expect them to cause Newcastle all sorts of problems.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-0

Watford vs West Ham

Watford host relegation-placed West Ham in a match-up of two out-of-form clubs looking to steer their seasons back on track.

After a brilliant start to the season, Watford have lost their last three games, including disappointing results against Stoke and Everton to drop them to 9th on the table.

West Ham manager David Moyes will become only the fourth manager in Premier League history to reach 500 games, joining Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger.

Prediction: Watford 1-0

Brighton vs Stoke

A mid-table battle between Brighton and Stoke rounds off Matchday 12, with both sides fancying their chances of taking all three points.

Brighton are undefeated in their last four outings, and will be confident of keeping Stoke at bay thanks to the solid form shown by Socceroo goalkeeper Matt Ryan in the two legs against Honduras.

Stoke will welcome back attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri after he helped get his native Switzerland to the 2018 World Cup against Northern Ireland.
