We may well be set for an FFA Cup Final Melbourne Derby with Melbourne City making light work of Heidelberg United to run out 5-0 winners in their Quarter-Final match at Olympic Park last night.

Import Bruno Fornaroli got City off to the perfect start with an early goal, the competition's third-fastest ever goal. Wade Dekker showed great composure to control Erik Paartalu's long ball before setting up the Uruguayan for the opening goal.

Aaron Mooy was able to bag a second half hat-trick to book City's spot in the semi finals in emphatic fashion. Mooy hit a thumping drive from 25 metres out which ended up in the bottom corner. Just four minutes later, the Socceroo had his second, this time with his left foot. Mooy then rounded off his hat-trick six minutes from time.

Fornaroli then sealed it with a goal in stoppage time to set up a clash with Perth Glory in the semi finals.

Meanwhile, Perth Glory have ended the Wanderers FFA Cup campaign following an exciting penalty shootout in their clash at Dorrien Gardens in Perth.

After the game finished 1-1 after extra time, a horrible miss in the shootout from Wanderers striker Federico Piovoccari gave Glory the advantage.

Golec and Sidnei both scored their penalties for Glory before Scott Jamieson blazed over the bar for the Wanderers against his former club.

Glory skipper Richard Garcia completed the job, coolly slotting home the winning penalty.

Perth now get the advantage of not having to travel for their October 20 match with Melbourne City, having a home game with Wellington in the A-League the Sunday before.
