Blacktown City and FFA Cup hero Danny Choi has admitted contract talks have begun between himself and A-League champions Adelaide United, but until Choi gets a visa he'll have to stay in Sydney.

Choi burst onto the scene after scoring a 70-metre wonder goal in Blacktown's 6-2 win over Sydney United 58 in the FFA Cup Round of 32.

The 22-year-old also made a massive impact over the weekend in the NSW NPL Grand Final against United, scoring a fantastic double to help City to a 3-0 win.

After plenty of impressive performances from Choi all season, Adelaide have come hunting, while several other clubs are monitoring the attacker.

“It is true that Adelaide have approached me, but at this time I don't have a visa yet so we can't process anything further," Choi said.

"We'll see how it goes but I haven't signed with Adelaide yet.

“I saw Graham Arnold come (to the Grand Final) and I guess he was just seeing our performance and our game ahead the FFA Cup game next week. But no words have been spoken to me (from Sydney FC) yet.”

Blacktown City will face Sydney FC in the FFA Cup quarter-finals next Wednesday night, and while City are the underdogs, Choi isn't ruling out an upset.

“Football is a game where you can't really expect what is going to happen, it's just in that split second that things happen. So I'll try my best next Wednesday and play as a team and prove something to the people of Australia,” Choi said.
