Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso was the quickest man around the Mugello circuit for the opening free practice this morning, the Italian rider recording a best time of 1:47.394 to finish two tenths of a second faster than his nearest rival, and Ducati's Wild card entry, Michael Pirro.
Maverick Vinales was the quickest Yamaha rider with the third fastest time, to finish ahead of the Tech 3 Yamaha rider, Johann Zarco.
Hector Barbera was fifth fastest followed by Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Petrucci, Jonas Folger, Marc Marquez and Cal Crutchlow.
