Brisbane Roar midfielder Steven Lustica has joined the Western Sydney Wanderers on a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old joins the Wanderers after 54 appearances in two years with the Roar.

He began his career with the Gold Coast United, before playing briefly in Croatia. He then returned to Australia, playing one season with Adelaide United before joining Brisbane.

“It didn't take a lot of convincing to see what's happening at the Wanderers: with the set-up there, the club is growing every year and it's something that I wanted to be a part of,” Lustica said.

“It's a big honour for me to be part of this club: I'm looking forward to working under Popa and the rest of the staff. It's really exciting times ahead.

“The Wanderers' fan base is the best in the league. When I played for Brisbane, the game you most looked forward to was the away match in Western Sydney.

"The atmosphere in the semi-final especially was unbelievable and I'm looking forward to having the best fans in the league behind me.”
