Boca Juniors forward Nicolas Colazo looks set to sign with Melbourne City in the coming days as City look to add to their strong squad.

The 26-year-old is expected to ink a one-year loan deal to Melbourne with an option to buy, after Colazo's agent Sergio Levington confirmed the move on Argentinian radio show Bocade Seleccion.

“Nico is on the plane, he is in Italy,” Levington said.

“It is all done for Colazo to play for Melbourne City of Australia.”

Colazo has spent his entire career contracted to Boca Juniors and has registered 105 appearances for the popular Argentine club, although this loan spell would be the second time he's been loaned out since 2013.

He would join Bruno Fornaroli as City's marquee players, as Tim Cahill joined Melbourne last month as a guest marquee.
