Melbourne Victory's Kosta Barbarouses has agreed to a lucrative offer to join the Wellington Phoenix.

The New Zealand international has accepted a multi-year offer believed to be worth $750,000 a year, roughly triple his current wage at the Victory.

The deal will make him the A-League's third highest paid player behind Sydney FC's Filip Holosko and Melbourne City's Aaron Mooy.

The 25-year-old, who began his career with the Phoenix in 2008, has made 78 appearances in three seasons in all competitions for the Victory.
