Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli has made a £13 million switch to the Baggies on the eve of the transfer deadline.

Chadli had been at the Spurs for the past three seasons and although he never really cemented his spot in the first team, he was able to feature in most games and made 119 appearances and scored 25 goals.

“I feel very good to be here. It came very quickly but I spoke to the club and they have a good team, a good manager and I am very pleased to be here,” Chadli told Albion's website after the move.

The Belgian winger wasn't the only player to be bought for a record fee overnight, as Sofiane Boufal was given the same achievement by Southampton.

Boufal was signed on a five-year deal by the Saints for a reported club record fee of £16 million, and is the sixth player new manager Claude Puel has brought in during the transfer window.

“I'm very, very happy to sign for Southampton and I am really excited to play in St Mary's Stadium in front of the fans,” Boufal said.

“Southampton showed big interest in signing me, and I can see that this club is the best place for me to continue my progression as a footballer.”
