Only one round remains in the A-League regular season, thus it's time to look ahead to the first week of finals.

Match-ups are still yet to be fully decided, with a variety of results potentially affecting the final spots on the table.

What we do know, is that both Sydney FC, and Melbourne Victory will have the first week off. This is due to them finishing first and second respectively. Both teams are probably wishing they didn't have the break, with Sydney claiming the premiership weeks ago, and the Victory struggling to gain any momentum.

The matches for the first week of finals are still to be decided. Melbourne City, Brisbane, Perth, and Western Sydney, will make up the rest of the top six, what order they finish in is unclear.

City (third) and the Roar (fourth) both sit on 39 points and unless Perth can claim a big victory over the former, they are likely to both earn home finals.

Their opposition will either be the Glory or Western Sydney. Perth currently lead the Wanderers by one point, but the Sydney-siders have the easier match-up against Adelaide.

It's hard to bet against the home sides come A-League finals, but as we all know they do throw up an upset from time-to-time. Western Sydney could be the danger team, having earned 11 points from their past five games.

Perth Glory on the other hand have struggled, only collecting five points from their last five matches. They also have an average away record, having won only two games when visiting other teams.
