Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli has a new suitor, with Italian club Chievo emerging as a potential destination for the 25-year-old.

Balotelli, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, has been training with the Liverpool U-21s as Jurgen Klopp looks for a way to offload him, but they may have found a willing participant in Chievo.

Chievo President Luca Campedelli is said to be keen on the Italian international, and reportedly dined out with Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola.

Campedelli believes that the forward has matured, and thinks that a fresh start in his home country is what the troubled Balotelli needs.

A number of other teams are reportedly still interested in the striker, with Ajax, Besiktas and Galatasaray all potential destinations for Balotelli.
