Sebastian Vettel placed his Ferrari fourth on the grid for Sunday's Baku GP with a best overall time of 1:41.841, over a second down on the two Mercedes drivers in front of him.

The Ferrari mechanics did a great job in the garage to get Seb's SF70H ready in time for the session, fixing the hydraulic problem that developed in free practice.

Seb actually had an eventful P3 session, which saw the mechanics rebuilding the car after a precautionary engine change, following the hydraulic issue.

However, while disappointed to not be further up the grid, Sebastian didn't use his car troubles to make any excuses…

“The result is ok, but obviously I am not entirely happy and this qualifying didn't help. I don't have excuses, I could have done better,” he said. “I think I had the rhythm at the end but just didn't get everything right. We were not quick enough, but tomorrow I think we still have a good chance.”

“The car has been fast during the races and that was the case yesterday too, on the long-runs. So, let's see what happens. The start of my qualifying session was a bit slow, then by Q2 I think I had the car under control. But my Q3 was not ideal. I had to stop at the end of the pit-lane when the red flag came out and my tires got cold. Tomorrow, anyway, it could be a different story.”
