A massive 28 goals were scored on Thursday morning during the second match day of the second week of fixtures in the UEFA Champions League.

Celtic and Manchester City were responsible for six of those, as Pep Guardiola's men came back from a goal down three times in a row on the road to steal a 3-3 draw.

Two goals from Moussa Dembele and an own goal from Raheem Sterling had the Hoops in front at three different stages throughout the 90 minutes, although Nolito's final equaliser with just over half an hour to play was the final goal.

Elsewhere, Yannick Carrasco's 35th minute strike handed Carlo Ancelotti his first loss as Bayern Munich coach, as the German champions went down 1-0 to Atletico Madrid.

Three goals in seven minutes saw Napoli beat Benfica 4-2, as a brace from Dries Mertens and a penalty to Arkaduusz Milik sealed the game early in the second half.

Barcelona came back from a goal down against Borussia Moenchengladbach to record a 2-1 away victory.

Second half goals to Arda Turan and Gerard Pique completed the comeback after Thorgan Hazard opened the scoring in the first half for the home side.
