Supercheap Auto racer Chaz Mostert will once again be focusing on consistency while chasing the top step of the podium at the Phillip Island venue in Melbourne this weekend where the V8 Supercars Championship will contest their third round of the 2017 season.

Mostert, who competed in the Bathurst 6 hour last weekend, won't be back at the Victorian-based event which will now see two 250km races, one Saturday and one Sunday, instead of the normal three race format, however, Chaz believes the format change will only go in their favour in the long run…

"I'm looking forward to giving this event a red hot crack. They're two long races but I think that could be good for us. Adam and the guys gave us an awesome strategy in Tasmania so if we can pull something out of the hat again and have speed similar to what we did I think we can keep improving. I've got a few things to focus on myself this weekend to stay consistent but it should be a good weekend."
