Manchester City are on the verge of two new signings, with City in the box seat to agree deals for Schalke's Leroy Sane and Palmeiras' Gabriel Jesus.

Sane, 20, is believed to be valued at 42 million pounds by the German club, although City are confident they could sign the youngster for close to 40 million.

The negotiations for Jesus are in a more advanced stage according to reports, with the club close to wrapping up a deal for the 19-year-old.

The Brazilian Under-23 international will likely be loaned back to his club following a deal with City, as Manchester are unlucky to obtain a work permit for the youngster.

If City are able to sign both Sane and Jesus, they would become new manager Pep Guardiola's fourth and fifth signings of the summer following deals with Ilkay Gundogan, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nolito.
